If you're experiencing financial hardship and finding it difficult to care for your pets, please come down to the Community Action Day in Karratha on Friday 22 May 2026 at Wickham Recreation Precinct from 9AM-12PM.
- Free health checks for dogs and puppies
- Free dog microchipping (*not available for litters or breeders)
- Free flea and worming treatments for dogs and cats
- Free chain exchange - swap your choker collar for a humane flat collar, thanks to Rogz
- Free pet food for families in financial need
- Educational information about pet care and responsible pet ownership
- Dog training advice
- Free sausage sizzle (not available at all locations)

Please note: Social dogs are welcome on leads, but please leave reactive dogs at home. Unvaccinated dogs or puppies cannot attend for safety reasons, however, owners can still receive support. If your dog is showing any signs of illness, including lethargy or diarrhoea, please leave them at home. For safety reasons, cats are not permitted, but cat owners are welcome to attend the event.
