A Capital works program worth nearly $80 million is at the core of the City of Karratha’s Annual Budget as it builds towards becoming Australia’s Most Liveable Regional City.
The 2026/27 Annual Budget, adopted by Council on June 30, includes a capital works program worth $77.85m
The program will see significant investment across all towns, and comprises upgrades to facilities, new infrastructure along with upgrades to parks, footpaths and kerbs.
Highlights from the capital works program includes the $4M Bathgate Road upgrade, $4.03M Kevin Richards Memorial Oval hardcourt works, and the $2M Roebourne Recreation Precinct master plan, and $1.44m Wickham South Youth Recreation Area
