Michael Bunting has over 15 years’ experience working across local government, state government and the private sector in infrastructure delivery, asset management, capital works and operational leadership. Prior to his appointment as Director Infrastructure Services, Michael held management roles with the City of Karratha, including Manager Asset Maintenance and Manager City Projects, where he led improvements in capital delivery, governance, maintenance planning and service performance. He is recognised for strengthening governance, improving infrastructure delivery and building high-performing teams that deliver sustainable outcomes for the community.
A long-term Karratha local, Michael grew up in the city and is now raising his own family here. His connection to the community drives his commitment to delivering safe, reliable and sustainable infrastructure that supports growth, liveability, and positive outcomes for the City of Karratha community.
