Simon Kot is an experienced local government executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience across Western Australia. He joined the City of Karratha's Executive Team in 2006 and was appointed Director Strategic Projects and Infrastructure in 2013.
Over the following 13 years, Simon led the delivery of more than $400 million in City-led infrastructure projects, including the Karratha Leisureplex, Karratha Airport Redevelopment and the Red Earth Arts Precinct, helping shape Karratha's growth as a vibrant regional city.
In 2026, Simon was appointed Director Strategic Projects & Business, where he leads the City's strategic project portfolio and oversees key business operations, including Karratha Airport and Waste Services. He is passionate about building strategic partnerships, driving economic development and delivering projects that create lasting value for the community, strengthen the region and position the City of Karratha for long-term growth and prosperity.
