Pensioner and Senior Rates Concessions Available

Eligible pensioners and seniors in the City of Karratha may be entitled to concessions on their Council Rates and Emergency Services Levy (ESL).

These concessions are designed to provide financial support to eligible ratepayers who own and occupy their property as their primary residence as of 1 July each year.

Eligibility criteria
To qualify, you must:

• Own and occupy the property as of 1 July
• Hold one of the following concession cards:
  • Pensioner Concession Card
  • WA Seniors Card (WASC)
  • Commonwealth Seniors Health Card (CSHC) and a WASC

Rebate details
Council Rates

• 100% rebate for Pensioner Concession Card holders
• 50% rebate for WASC and CSHC holders (capped at $750)
• 25% rebate for WASC holders (capped at $100)

Emergency Services Levy (ESL)

• 100% rebate for Pensioner Concession Card holders
• 50% rebate for WASC and CSHC holders
• 25% rebate for WASC holders
