Indie rockers POLLY are set to bring their infectious guitar driven sound to Point Samson for a night of high-energy music and local talent.
Point Samson After Dark – Beachside Beats event will light up the beach on Saturday 11 April, headlined by one of Western Australia’s most promising emerging bands, POLLY.
POLLY have quickly established themselves as one of WA’s standout new voices in indie music, and have shared stages with Spacey Jane, Old Mervs, Sycco, and Fool Nelson.
Supporting the Perth rockers is Karratha’s own Leiani Fenner and Port Hedland’s Declan Pocock. The event will also include youth performances, food vans, roving pirates, and shell jewellery making workshops.
City of Karratha Mayor Daniel Scott said the event was a fantastic way to bring the community together and showcase local talent.
“It’s incredible to see POLLY headlining alongside our own talented performers like Leiani Fenner and Hedland’s Declan Pocock,” Mayor Scott said.
“We know our community values opportunities to come together and experience the arts, live music, and cultural events right here in the Pilbara.”
The After Dark series is supported by Rio Tinto and designed to activate towns in the City of Karratha’s Eastern Corridor, including Roebourne, Cossack, Wickham, and Point Samson.
“Our After Dark series is all about activating our towns and bringing the community together through music, art, and culture,” Mayor Scott said.
“These pop-up events highlight the unique character of our Eastern Corridor and give residents something fun and engaging to enjoy right in their backyard.”
